There's spam coming from my domain?!?!

If you notice a sudden influx of bounced messages in your mailbox for emails you didn't send, it could be due to spammers using a technique to mask their identity. These spammers find a domain and make it look like some bogus user in your domain is sending them, resulting in all the bounces landing in your mailbox.

It's important to note that these spammers are not actually sending emails from your domain but merely making it look like they did. While you may receive a few complaints, unfortunately, there is little that can be done to prevent this. However, you can blackhole email to your catch-all address if you don't mind losing the catch-all functionality.

We strongly advise against using a "fail" function that bounces these emails back to their sender as this only causes mail queues to clog up. If you have further concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us. However, please keep in mind that this is a common issue and the likelihood of your email account being hacked if you have a secure password is extremely low.
